The difference between 9005, 9006 and H11

Just by listening to the names of 9005, 9006, and H11 led headlights, we can clearly know that they are different things, but their adapter or look are so similar. To make more sure about compatibility issues, you should know more about the difference between 9005, 9006, and H11 headlight bulbs.

9005 / HB3 Led Bulbs

The 9005 led headlight bulb is a perfect choice for you if you want to experience bright high and low-beam light. They are powerful enough to help you get a perfect view of the highway than 9005 halogens. 

9006 / HB4 Led Bulbs

The 9006 is also a popular option for car owners.  It looks similar to the 9005 bulbs and fits into the same socket. However, there are some differences between them. The 9006 headlight bulb is always used as a low-beam bulb that gives you a better look at the area near you. Besides, the bulb socket and adapter of them are a little bit difference that many people will ignore. There is one foot in the socket which is in a different direction. From the top view, 9006’s smallest foot is in clockwise, while 9005’s is counterclockwise.

H11 Bulbs

H11, also known as H8/H9 LED headlights can be used to replace both high beams and low beams,  they also used fog lamps H11 for some vehicles.

As you can see, the foot pins' distance of 9005/9006 is bigger than H11.

Some 9005/9006 are L-shap, and some are H-shap. also the H11 is L-shap if they are plug n play style. So accrding the shap look to distinguish them is not the good methods, you need to know their socket and adapter, so that you can better tell which type of your bulb is.
