（For）BMW OEM air ducts are "passive," meaning they require a vacuum to pull fresh air from the vents to the filters. If your OEM box is in tack, air scoops won't do much for your car as the vacuum is strong enough to feed the filters fresh air. If you decided to remove your OEM box then upgrade to BMS or other open air intakes, the "passive" air ducts won't feed the filters any fresh air (no vacuum). Adding the scoops with after market intakes will reduce the chance of heat soak and improve performance.
In order to convert the OEM air ducts from passive to active, air scoops are required (re-direct the incoming air by 90 degrees).

Fits well to BMW f32 and installed it in 15 mins.
Really good, but in hot climates, I think it could use some cooler air from the front of the coolant.
BMW F20 Air Intake Blue Right Side: This product is solidgreat design, vibrant colors, and sturdy metal. It definitely does its job and would look awesome behind the BMW grille. Plus, it comes with black screws, which is super handy. Not sure about the F20 and F30, but for the F10, you'll need to swap the left side air intake to the right side. Also, youll have to reinstall the front bumper to fit it on the F10. Overall, it's a really good product.
I painted it golden. Looks good and some differences felt while driving.
Fits great. I'm not sure if I feel a difference but they should help when on the highway. They look sorta cool.
