About Bevinsee

Is the clutch pedal arm loose and making noise driving you crazy? It's a common occurrence in older BMWs! The original E30, E36 and E46 brake arm bushings have been pushed through thousands of times and are already showing signs of age. You can lubricate them to solve the noise problem, but this is only a temporary solution to the noise problem, not to the play problem. For this reason we introduce the Bevinsee self-lubricating pedal bushings!

Features:
  • Stronger and Smoother Made from self-lubricating brass to deliver a confident, linear stroke that doesn't give a raw feel.
  • Excellent Replacement Parts The self-lubricating brass bushings solve the problem of tilt in the pedal and it also provides more feedback than ordinary plastic bushings.
  • Perfect fit CNC machined, high Accuracy.

Installation Guide:

  • Step 1: Firstly, remove any panels under the steering wheel that may prevent the pedal bushings from being replaced, also to allow more space for the feet. Also be careful not to break any clips and remove all screws/bolts/nuts attaching the panel.
  • Step 2: Next, if your vehicle has polystyrene foam knee impact absorbers, remove them as this will better expose the pedals. Now proceed to remove the clutch master cylinder and note the mounting position of the electrical switches as they will also come off with the removal of the clutch master cylinder.
  • Step 3: Before removing the clip from the pin end, note the clutch on the centre assist spring and how it is attached, as they are likely to come apart when the pedal is removed. Now use a flat head screwdriver to remove the three locking clips on the left pedal, then slide the pins to the right and they will come out. The pin at the top is what holds the clutch pivot pin in place. Remove the pedal by sliding it away from this pin. Make sure you really know how all the pins and pedals are fitted so that they can be reinstalled correctly.
  • Step 4: After removing the pedal, remove the original worn bushing and install the new bushing, it is highly recommended that you lubricate the bushing with grease prior to installation.
  • Step 5: Once the bushings are fitted, reassemble the pedal assembly in the same way as when it was removed. Once fully reassembled, you can spray grease on all pivot points and moving parts. Then reinstall the pedal master cylinder (if fitting a clutch pedal, ensure that the clutch eccentric assist spring is correctly connected) and verify that all components are correctly installed and lubricated.
  • Step 6: Once you have verified that all components are working correctly, do not forget to reinstall the electrical switch sensors, either for the clutch pedal or the brake pedal, as they may need to be readjusted. Once you have verified that they are all correctly adjusted, you can reinstall the panel. Everything is then complete.
